Delta Dirt Distillery has been named “World’s Best Vodkas” by the San Francisco’s World Spirit Competition. The brand was established in 2017 by the Williams in Arkansas, where the family and its ancestors have been living for at least four generations.

Although, the brand is slowing gaining recognition, it took the Williams about three years to release its very first product, Sweet Blend, a vodka in December 2020.

The vegetables used to created their concoctions are farmed on the land of their ancestors. Harvey Williams’, CEO and Co-founder of Dirty Delta Distillery, grand-father purchased “the farm with money he was earning by making moonshine”. As such, Sweet Blend is made from sweet potatoes and corn.

But the Williams didn’t stop there. The distillery’s range of products grew. Tall Gin Cotton was added to the list of spirits, a blend mixture of sweet potatoes, rye, corn and barley. Then came “Deep Roots” also called “Arkansas Brown”, a fusion “that’s not a bourbon nor a whiskey”. And the latest addition, “Sweet Roots Arkansas Brown”, available since August 30. It is not yet available for purchase online but the owners commented that “it won’t be that way for long” on the Instagram official page.

The brand’s history is one to command. There’s more to learn about the coming of Delta Dirt through “Distilled”, a docuseries that will immerge you in the world of spirits. The documentary is streaming on AMC+ and other channels.

Delta Dirt Distillery has participated in national and international competition, notably the San Francisco’s World Spirit Competition is which it won Platinum Honors in 2024. Sweet Blend won the Double Gold for the World’s Best Vodka in 2023.

Delta Dirt Distillery is a family affair managed by Harvey, Donna (wife, Co-founder & Chief Brand Officer), Donavan (oldest son, Operations Manager & Director of National Sales) and Thomas (youngest son and Head Distiller)
