The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are officially over but the magic continues in the French capital with the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
August 10 will be a date to remember. As the 2024 Paris Olympics closed, the ceremony is going to be remembered for years to come.
Pierre le Coubertin was remembered as the Golden Voyageur going to Greece 🇬🇷 to (re)discover the Olympics and bring them to back to light. If you did not know, the five rings of the Olympic Games represent the five continents : Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. The white background on which they stand, represent the nations and the world
The musical part was also on point with a great performance from Phoenix, a pop rock French 🇫🇷 group, with guest singers such as Angele and VannDa (from Cambodia)
The next Olympic Games are scheduled for 2028 in Los Angeles, California. So, of course the Olympic flag had to be passed from France to America. And that is exactly what happened. Thomas Bach the president of CIO, handed the Olympic flag to the Mayor of California, Karen Bass.
The official handing over of the flag was followed by America’s national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner performed by H.E.R.
Tom Cruise was there as well, his mission? Bringing the flag to Los Angeles for the LA 2028 Olympics to officially “start”
Once in Los Angeles, the flag arrived at the beach where, the Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop and Dre were waiting for us. The organizers made sure to starr California artists.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the closing ceremony were both directed by Thomas Jolly. The magic of the Olympic Games was so strong that athletes had to be asked to leave the Stade de France 🇫🇷 after everything was done and over with.
Worldwide , the opinion is that the Paris 2024 Olympics were magical and that it will be hard to beat such ceremonies. For noe, the task rests in the hands of Los Angeles.
