“About 25 women between the ages of 14 and 24 were systematically raped during the occupation of a basement in Bucha. Nine of them are pregnant,” she said. “Russian soldiers told them that they would rape them to the point that they did not want sexual contact with any man, to prevent them from having Ukrainian children.”

Russian troops have begun to abandon the cities surrounding Kiev and reports from residents begin to emerge. Anna (not her real name), 50, was one of the victims of rapes by Russian soldiers during the occupations of Ukrainian cities.
As she told the BBC, Anna was raped on March 7 by a thin young man who appeared to be a Chechen soldier who had allied with Russian troops. they took him away. I never saw him again,” he said.
“With a gun to his head, he took me to a house near us. He ordered me to take off my clothes or shoot.”
Anna believes she was saved by another unit of Russian soldiers. The husband was shot several times in the abdomen while trying to save his wife and, unable to go to the hospital, he died two days after the attack.
“They Raped Me and Killed My Husband”
Russian troops have begun to abandon the cities surrounding Kiev and reports from residents begin to emerge.
Anna (not her real name), 50, was one of the victims of rapes by Russian soldiers during the occupations of Ukrainian cities. But another woman had also been the victim of a rape, apparently by the same man, a few feet away from Anna’s house. The 40-year-old victim was taken to an abandoned house, where a mirror was found with a message written: “Tortured by strangers, buried by Russian soldiers.”
Oksana, a neighbor, told the British television channel that the mirror had been left there by Russian soldiers who found the woman’s body and buried her.
“They [Russian soldiers] told me that she had been raped, that her throat had been cut and that she had bled to death. They told me there was a lot of blood.”
The woman ended up buried in the garden of the house.
“On March 9, several soldiers from the Russian army entered a house. The husband tried to protect his wife and child. So they shot him”, says Andrii Nebytov, commander of the Kiev police.
“Afterwards, two soldiers repeatedly raped his wife. They would leave and then come back. They came back three times to rape her. They threatened that if she resisted, they would hurt her son. To protect her son, she did not resist.”
When the soldiers left, they burned the house and killed the family dog. The wife and child escaped.
From Bucha comes more news of victims of rapes by Russian soldiers. Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine’s Human Rights Ombudsman, says they are documenting several such cases.
Denisova says Ukraine wants a special court created by the United Nations to try Vladimir Putin for war crimes, including rape.
