Buenos Aires, Argentina | The Argentine Air Navigation Company (EANA) said this Monday (11.Apr.2022) that it will suspend the search for the missing plane with 3 Brazilians on board in Patagonia. The plane has been missing since last wednesday (6.abr).

According to EANA, the 6 days of searches did not bring positive results, but the authorities will remain on alert to find the whereabouts of the aircraft. The Search and Rescue Service (SAR) was activated after losing contact with the RV-10 aircraft, prefix PP-ZRT. The plane’s last contact was recorded at the Comodoro Rivadavia Area Control Center (ACC).

According to Empresa Argentina de Navegação Aérea SE, after several attempts to communicate, the ACC Comodoro Rivadavia communicated the rescue service, activating the aircraft search protocol.

The Search and Rescue Service contacted the Argentine Missile Control Center (ARMCC) who reported the activation of the aircraft’s ELT flashlight.

The Argentinean Air Navigation Company (EANA) suspended, Monday night, the search for the single-engine plane with three Brazilians on board that disappeared last Wednesday (6) in the Patagonian province of Chubut, in the south of the country, reported today. the UOL news site.

“Despite the efforts made in the search actions, it was not possible to find any traces of the aircraft, nor of its occupants”, said Eana in a statement published around 19:00 (local time).

Even so, the agency said that the search and rescue service in the region, where the plane was last sighted, “remains on alert”, in case clues emerge as to the whereabouts of the single engine or the three Brazilians.

According to information available in consultation with the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the small plane, without authorization for air taxi, belongs to Antônio Carlos de Castro Ramos, businessman from Florianópolis, owner of ACCR Construções.

In addition to Antônio, two of his friends were on the plane, the lawyer Mário Pinho and the doctor Gian Carlo Nercolini. In the records of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the aircraft, a single-engine Van’s Aircraft RV-10, code PP-ZRT and manufactured in 2016, is listed as in good standing and owned by Antônio Carlos de Castro Ramos.


The aircraft departed last Wednesday from the city of El Calafate, in the extreme south of Argentina, bound for Trelew, in the north of Chubut, but lost contact with the monitoring centers around Bahía Bustamante, also located in the province, according to Defense.
