On Jan 13, a protective order has been submitted in the Virginia Giuffre VS Prince Andrew, Duke of York rape case.

The protective order relates to the protection of the confidentiality of non-public and sensitive information.

«Plaintiff Virginia Giuffre and Defendant Prince Andrew request that this Court issue a protective order pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26(c) to protect the confidentiality of nonpublic and sensitive information that they may need to disclose in connection with discovery in this action», indicates the document.

The document continues to say that, thr protective order would «facilitate the production, exchange, and discovery of documents and information that the Parties, and as appropriate, nonparties, agree merit confidential treatment».

According to the document, the party producing said information would be free to designate which documents would remain confidential. The document stated are obvious such as :

  • medical, mental health and/or other health care records;
  • Social Security numbers, personal telephone numbers, tax returns, and credit and banking information of any person;

But another interesting type of “other” information was listed notably «names of alleged minor victims of sexual abuse». It seems that, other victims will have something to say about the rape claim brought up against Prince Andrew.

Lawyers for Ms Giuffre, who has accused Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein of sexually abusing her, have long fought to unseal the names of eight “John Does” mentioned in their 2015 civil lawsuit. Maxwell’s attorneys pushed back, but on Thursday they appeared to give up the fight.

On Wednesday, Virginia Giuffre, has requested to unseal documents that name the seven men, known up to this point as “Non-Party Does 17, 53, 54, 55, 73, 93, and 151”

“After careful review of the detailed objections submitted by Non-Party Does 17, 53, 54, 55, 73, 93, and 151, counsel for Ghislaine Maxwell writes to inform the Court that she does not wish to further address those objections,” one of Maxwell’s lawyers, Laura Menninger, wrote to Judge Loretta Preska on Wednesday.

Carolyn Andriano, an accuser in the Ghislaine Maxwell Trial, renounced her anonymity and in doing so, she corroborated Virginia Giuffre’s rape claims. During the Ghislaine Maxwell Trial, she said ” A lot [sexual abusers] of them run together
