Ghislaine Maxwell Trial Live Update Day 13 | Closing Arguments will start Monday Dec 20.
The defense presented its case on Day 11 and Day 12. The defense requested more time to present its case, due to one witness only being able to arrive on Monday, Judge Nathan denied the request.
Judge Nathan asked Ghislaine Maxwell if she wanted to testify on her behalf , however Ms Maxwell assured the judge that there is no need for her to do such a thing.
The Ghislaine Maxwell Trial was set to last six weeks. Day 9 was adjourned early due to one of the lawyers being sick.
The defense had originally planned to question as many as 35 witnesses, but whittled that list down as it struggled to locate one witness, failed to persuade the judge to allow more time, and finally decided that Ms Maxwell herself would not testify.
The defense called a number of witnesses in their case over two days, including former employees and an ex-girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein.

Two defense witnesses who testified Friday said they did not witness Epstein ever abuse underage girls during the 10-year period included in Maxwell’s indictment.
The court adjourned, with closing arguments planned for Monday.
Day 12 of the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell has ended with the Defense resting its case.
Maxwell’s lawyer: At this time the defense rests.

Judge Nathan: Jurors, you’ll hear closing arguments then I’ll instruct you on the law and you’ll begin deliberations.
