The Ghislaine Maxwell Trial is still ongoing. Today, Friday, Dec 3 marks the 5th day of the trial.
On day one, then teenager referred to as “Jane” testifies that she was abused by Jeffrey Epstein. The first assault happened the day she was invited to the pool at Epstein’s house.
During that visit, talk of a massage emerged and Epstein sexually assaulted Jane then fourteen.
Many of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein victims referred to massages. Today, in court, the massage table that were used in the home i’are Palm Beach, FL, was introduced to the jury.
Jeffrey Parkinson, a retired police officer involved in the 2005 search as part of an investigation into Epstein’s conduct, testified on the fifth day of Maxwell’s trial that he carried the massage table from Epstein’s estate.
Assistant US Attorney Maurene Comey has offered Epstein’s actual green massage table into evidence as Government Exhibit 51. It was brought into the courtroom and shown to the jury.
“We were looking for massage tables, we were looking for massage oils, we were looking for sex toys, we were looking for correspondence,” Dawson testified on Friday afternoon.
In addition to the massage table, a phone book, a photo of a nude female, and a sex toy called the “Twin Torpedos” were seized. A photograph of Epstein’s sex toys was introduced into evidence.
AUSA: What were you looking for, during the search?
Dawson: Massage tables and oil. Sex toys. There were a lot of photos of nude females. We seized a phone book, a massage table, photo of a nude female, a sex toy called the torpedo
On Day 4, when Juan Alessi’s testimony ( Alessi was the house manager), started, before the jury was brought in that morning, pre-trial proceedings included whether certain evidence should be admitted.
This includes schoolgirl costumes found in the massage room and art sexualising minors. This follows Mr Alessi’s testimony on Thursday about his duties including cleaning the massage room after it was used, and finding sex toys there.
Jeffrey Epstein’s former housekeeper told the court on Thursday that a large dildo, pornographic tapes and a leather black costume could be found in the disgraced financier’s massage room.
Juan Patricio Alessi said that he that the sex items were kept in Epstein’s girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell’s closet as “I know everything that happened in that house”.
Mr Alessi was asked about the massages by Assistant United States Attorney Maurene Comey.
She said: “What items were you instructed to buy for the massages?”
“I don’t recall buying any oils or perfumes because they were purchased by Ms Maxwell.”
“Was the door open when Mr Epstein was having a massage?”
“Where was the massage table kept?”
“In Mr Epstein’s closet.”
“What do you remember finding after Mr Epstein’s massages?”
“I remember finding a large dildo,” he replied.
Maxwell, 59, has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of sex trafficking and other crimes for allegedly recruiting and grooming girls for Epstein to abuse.
Her attorneys argue she is being scapegoated because Epstein cannot be prosecuted, after killing himself in a Manhattan jail in 2019 at age 66 while awaiting trial on sex abuse charges. Maxwell is a former Epstein girlfriend.
