Omicron Confirmed In California, Colorado And Minnesota

Since the discovery on the new variant Omicron, several countries have confirmed cases. It is now the turn of the biggest country, the United States of America where three cases, in three different states have been confirmed.
Three cases in three differe states have been confirmed so far. California, Colorado And Minnesota have been hit the COVID-19 newly discovered variant, Omicron.
First discovered in South Africa, Omicron is the latest variant the the Coronavirus book. According to Angelique Coetzee, the chairwoman of the South African Medical Association, said variant produces “mild symptoms” in patients.
Minnesota is the very first states to have confirmed an Omicron case. The virus was found in a male patient, fully vaccinated whom had just returned from a New York à conference he attended. From Nov 19-21, he was at the New York City’s Javits Center at the animé convention.
According to health officials, the “Test and Trace Corps” was activated to contact conference attendees in an effort to contain the spread, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
“We are aware of a case of the Omicron variant identified in Minnesota that is associated with travel to a conference in New York City, and we should assume there is community spread of the variant in our city,” the mayor said in a statement.
In Colorado, health officials said that, a woman with the Omicron variant had recently returned from a trip to southern Africa.
In California on Wednesday, a case of the variant in a fully vaccinated traveler whom had been in South Africa was reported.
