Liverpool | 1 Killed In A Car Explosion By A Women’s Hospital. Anti-Terrorism Police Investigate.
British anti-terrorism police revealed this Sunday that agents are investigating a car explosion at Liverpool Women’s Hospital that killed one person, although it has not been declared a terrorist incident.
“Unfortunately we can confirm that one person has died and another has been taken to hospital, where he is being treated. Fortunately the injuries are not life-threatening. We are keeping an open mind about what caused the explosion, but given the way it happened, just in case, the anti-terrorism police are leading the investigation,” Merseyside Police said in a statement, quoted by AFP.
Authorities believe the car involved was a taxi, which exploded shortly after arriving at a hospital in northwest England. Images posted on social networks show black smoke near the hospital.
