The Web Summit is back in 2021 and this time you can actually physically attend the event. It will take place over the course of four days (Nov 1 – 4) in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
Last year the Web Summit was done virtually due to the conditions linked to the pandemic’s restrictions regarding gatherings. This year the Web Summit is back in Lisbon, it can be attended physically, although strict rules are in vigor.
On the Web Summit official YouTube channel, at least four events are scheduled to go live. The first one being Web Summit 2021 Opening Night. The event was scheduled to start at 6pm so 5pm local time. Although on its website, the event does show as being “live” nothing on the Youtube. The screen still display the offscreen picture “Web Summit”.
As of 6:30pm, 389 people were still waiting. In the comment section, we could see people from Canada, Portugal, France and one comment reads “hello from Africa“.
