R&B Singer Emani 22 has past away. She was 22 years old. The artist whose real name is Emani Johnson, was most known for songs like “Feelings” and “Inside” featuring rapper Trippie Redd.
According to PEOPLE, R&B singer Emani has past away. R&B artist Emani 22 has passed away at the age of 22, record producer J Maine confirmed to E! News.
Emani past away on Monday following a “tragic accident,” her manager, Fred Green, told PEOPLE. Green says the incident happened on Saturday morning.
“It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emani has confirmed her passing,” a statement provided reads. “They would like to share that although she fought courageously and the medical team went above and beyond doing everything in their power to aid in her recovery.
Green added that, on Monday, October 11th, Emani succumbed to the injuries she sustained after a tragic accident. At this time, Emani’s family is asking for privacy to mourn and honor her life and memories.”
Emani’s father Darryll Johnson took to Twitter to pay tribute to his daughter writing “Thank you my baby for your light. You are forever in our hearts. Daddy loves you so much. Rest In Power my girl-baby. Love you forever #Emani22”
It is unclear how Emani reportedly died, however, reports have circulated that she was involved in a car accident. This has not yet been confirmed.
